Inspiration
My practice is rooted in close observation from an idiosyncratic perspective, exploring the patterns, textures and colours that reveal the complexity of the world around us. As an autistic artist, I often experience the world as though through a magnifying glass, using hyperrealism to bring what might otherwise be overlooked or even unseen into sharp relief.
This hyperrealist macro oil painting of a Chrysolina cerealis (rainbow bug) on a lavender plant was inspired by a particularly dark season of my life, when I found myself drawn even more to the extraordinary power of colour. The iridescent shell of the beetle became a reminder that, even in times of darkness, there is still light, beauty and hope to be found.

Giclée prints use fibrous cotton paper linked with 8 colour pigment ink printers produce an extremely wide tonal range and colour gamut compared to standard 4 colour CMYK printers. This matt black ink gives maximum depth and richness to dark areas of the prints.
